Why Sonar refuses to automate your outreach

I build systems for a living and I love automation. I will still not let software talk to your market unsupervised. Here is the line, and why it exists.

The demo that always sells

The tempting version of this product sends the emails for you. Detect a signal, write the message, fire. The demo looks incredible. I have watched rooms light up for it.

I have also sat on the receiving end, like you have. We all watched AI outreach flood our inboxes through 2024 and 2025. We can smell it in one line now. Years of low-effort automated sending is a big part of why reply rates collapsed in the first place. Automating more of it is pouring water on a drowning man.

Four refusals

Sonar runs on four deliberate refusals. Approved exports only: no live connectors, no credential handling. No CRM mutation: the system recommends, it never writes into your source of truth. Human approval: every consequential action waits for a named owner to say yes. Evidence on record: every decision can be inspected later, including the wrong ones.

None of that is a limitation I apologize for. It is the design. The scarce asset in GTM right now is not sending capacity. Anyone can send. The scarce asset is trust: inside your team, and in the market that decides whether your name is worth opening.

Automate repetition, not responsibility

The machine does the part machines are good at: collecting account movement, checking evidence, ranking what matters, remembering outcomes. A human does the part that carries consequences: deciding to act. That is the line, and I hold it even when it costs a deal.

That split is why a Sonar desk gets sharper over time instead of louder. The system learns from every approved and rejected card. The market only hears from you when you have earned the right to talk.

AI does not create commercial clarity. It amplifies whatever clarity, or confusion, you already have. Fix the judgment first. Then automate the repetition around it.
